“Addressing poverty and climate change”
Tree tracking and tree planting global scale.

Non profit organisation
Contains 6 Board members & an extensive community

Donors buy a tree, the tree gets planted, an app follows the growth of the tree (assuring its growth past its vulnerable stage), the farmers take periodic pictures of the tree to show its growth, the tree becomes an asset to the local community where the tree is planted. Greenstand verifies the images taken by the farmers.

The app is a tool that connects the donors, the planter and Greenstand.

The people involved:
Donor; initial investment in the tree
Planting organisation: The supplier of the trees/seeds/ funding to the grower, and information to the Donor.
Planter; local person who receives part of the investment for planting the tree, as well as “supplementary income” from the trees
Greenstand: as the regulator of the project offering the tree tracking app/website and verifying the growers

Money
Donors invest, money goes to planting organisation? And the grower of the trees, Monetary investments turn in to a value referred to as “tree token” which is essentially a tree turned into an asset. Donors can use trees and tree tracking app to “advertise their impact”.

Growers, receive monetary investment and a tree, they are responsible for taking care of the tree as it grows and providing documentation for its growth through the app.
Organizations invest by buying trees,
(app for growers)“*This service is currently limited to areas with direct money links to planters and requires verification of planter account information. Payments vary and are not guaranteed for all planters.“

Greenstand gets 5,4,3 out of ever 100 tokens depending on which packages organisations buy.

Who is profiting;
Donors; profit by having a “green” profile. Tree tokens symbolise the amount of Co2 they are responsible for ‘compensating’.
Planting organisation; unclear where they are in the picture
Growers; Unclear how much of the funds they receive, whether this is an initial investment or a decreasing periodic investment. If the tree species supplies some sort of commodity that can be sold like edible or medicinal products then this Is another way in which they profit.
Environment; Trees are able to grow past critical stages, contributing to developing the local environment. CO2 compensation/ Climate management.
